The Animal Hospital map is built around a central corridor spine with branching wings for patient care, observation, and staff-only areas. Understanding the flow from entrance to exam rooms to CCTV stations is the first skill that separates surviving shifts from chaotic ones. The map rewards repetition: after a few shifts, you should be able to move between any two rooms without checking signage.
Exam rooms, waiting areas, and treatment bays where most routine patient interaction happens. This is where new players spend most of their first shifts.
The central spine connecting all wings. Use it to move fast between zones, but stay alert — corridor sightlines are where anomalies first become visible.
Monitor rooms and security stations where you can check cameras without entering patient rooms. Critical for confirming anomalies from a safe distance.

Key rooms and zones
- Exam rooms — Where patients are inspected and treated. Each room has reference photos and baseline props. Learn the normal state of every room so deviations jump out instantly.
- CCTV / security room — The hub for camera feeds. Assign one player here during team shifts to maintain global awareness and call out anomalies before the team enters a room.
- Break room / staff lounge — A safe zone for regrouping, checking sanity, and coordinating. Use it as a rally point during emergencies.
- Storage / supply closet — Holds equipment, documents, and lore items. Some restricted storage areas require the Secret Agent role or specific progression.
- Corridor junctions — Decision points where wings meet. Memorize these — they are your escape routes and your fastest travel paths.
CCTV and observation points
The CCTV system is your safest tool for map-wide awareness. Camera feeds cover patient rooms, corridors, and some exterior areas. When a teammate reports something unusual, the CCTV operator can confirm or dismiss it without anyone risking exposure. Learn which cameras cover which zones and where blind spots exist — those blind spots are exactly where anomalies hide.
Most patient rooms and main corridors have camera feeds. Check the CCTV room early in each shift to confirm which cameras are online and which are offline.
Storage closets, stairwells, and some restricted areas may not have camera coverage. These zones require in-person checks and carry higher risk.
Emergency routes and shortcuts
When an emergency event triggers, knowing the fastest route to the right room can save the shift. Pre-plan two escape routes from every zone — one through the main corridor and one through a back passage or service door. During lockdowns, main corridors may become dangerous, so alternate routes are essential.
